    Provide direct supervision for the daily work of the Special Police Officers. Determine any changes that may be required in the daily routine. Assure all Special Police Officers are in proper uniform, and that all Government issued equipment and property is accounted for. As required, shall function simultaneously as a Special Police Officer.


    • Min 2 yrs recent security supervisory experience in a physical security program
    • Min 3 yrs security experience as an Armed SPO within the last 5 years 
    • Min 2 yrs experience working in a comparably commercial Class A building, federal or state office building  
    • Min 2 yrs experience working in a Level IV building


    Additional requirements to include:

    • Ability to act professionally & courteously when meeting and communicating with judges, judiciary employees, government personnel and the general public
    • Ability to understand, explain, interpret and apply rules, regulations, directives and procedures
    • Possess poise, self-confidence, and the ability to make sound decisions and react quickly under stressful conditions
    • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports
    • Ability to learn and adapt to changing situations
    • Ability to accept and respond to instruction and direction
