Securiguard Inc. is accepting applications for Security Dispatcher at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
Duties include: monitoring computer-based alarm and access control systems and closed circuit television systems; emergency response coordination; answering telephones; radio communication coordination between security officers; internal and external emergency notification; maintain a daily activity log of incidents; and, preparing reports of incidents. SOC dispatchers process temporary identification passes and maintain a separate log for lost and found articles. They also maintain records of issued temporary identification badges and update database systems as required. Dispatchers deal with Kennedy Center staff and the general public regarding security related questions (lost and found, etc.) and also conduct administrative matters for the Security Operations Center.
The SOC Dispatcher is responsible for receiving, issuing, storing and accounting for controlled JFKC keys and other controlled property, such as radios and security equipment. Dispatchers reconcile sign in/out records for property with each shift and maintain a copy of the inventory. Any discrepancies are noted and brought to the attention of the Shift Supervisor.
